Chinese Calligraphy

Chinese calligraphy is the art of writing Chinese characters using four special tools- a brush, ink stick, ink stone, and rice paper. It has a history of over 3000 years, as long as the Chinese language itself, and is considered the most important art form in China, carrying the priority that European art has traditionally reserved for painting.

Weiqi / Go Game

Weiqi, also known as Go, is a strategy board game that originated in China more than 2,500 years ago. It is one of the oldest board games still played today.

The game is played on a board with a 19×19 grid of intersecting lines. Players take turns placing black or white stones on the intersections. The objective of the game is to control more territory on the board than your opponent by surrounding their stones with your own.

Weiqi is known for its depth and complexity, and it has been compared to chess in terms of the level of strategy and tactical thinking required to play it at a high level. The game has a rich cultural history in China and is considered one of the four arts of the Chinese scholar, along with calligraphy, painting, and playing traditional musical instruments.

In recent years, Weiqi has gained international popularity and is now played in many countries around the world. There are professional leagues, tournaments, and even AI-powered bots that can compete at a world-class level.
