ABOUT THE INITIATIVE

Every young person deserves a place to belong and a real say in what happens next.

Southampton Youth Voice & Action is a proposed UK Shaolin community programme for young people aged 16–24.

Cost, low confidence and a lack of suitable opportunities can make it harder for young people to get involved. We want to reduce these barriers and create a welcoming community where young people can build confidence, develop friendships and feel listened to.

Our goal is to raise awareness of young people’s needs in Southampton and work with them to turn their ideas into practical action.

Get active. Feel connected. Be heard.

We want to give young people a meaningful role in shaping a project designed with them, not simply for them.

The pilot is proposed and is not yet running. A start date and timetable will be confirmed when funding, staffing, safeguarding and participation arrangements are in place.
