Damo Sword – 达摩剑
Damo Sword trains us how to control and extend our body.
Straight sword is one of four main weapons in Kung Fu, the other three being Chinese Sword, Staff, and Spear. Each of these four weapons has its own characteristics in its execution. The straight sword is more elegant and fluid. The key technique you learn when practicing straight sword is how to use your whole body to move the weapon fluidly. The straight sword becomes an extension of our whole body.
Main techniques covered: the point, thrust, cloud, chop, lift and swing.
